Prescriptions

Your prescription will be ready for collection, by you or your nominated pharmacy, 4 working days after requesting it. It may take another 2 working days for the medication to be ready to collect from the pharmacy. Please bear this in mind and order your medication in good time.

1. Setting up online ordering. Please click on the sky blue square “Sign up for Online Prescriptions” on our homepage to register for this service. We will send you your registration details in the post within 5 working days.
2. Repeat prescription requests can then be made by clicking on the purple square “Order your prescriptions” and if you have told us your preferred pharmacy, we will send the authorised prescription straight to them to action. Please make sure that you put the quantity and strength of the medicine in your online request.
3. Repeat prescription requests can also be made by calling our Prescription answering service on 01224 558177 and follow the instructions on the phone line. Please make sure that you state the quantity and strength of the medicine in your phone request.
4. You can also use the repeat order form attached to your previous prescription. Please either hand this in at reception or post it enclosing a stamped addressed envelope (SAE). We are able to keep a stock of your SAEs for future prescriptions.

Pharmacy

Did you know that your pharmacy can reorder your repeat prescriptions for you? Just ask at your local branch.

Many pharmacies can pick up your prescription from our surgery to save you coming in. Please ask at reception for details.

A full dispensing service is available in the Health Centre pharmacy. The opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 13:00 and 13:30 – 18:00. You may wish to use your local pharmacy – please let reception know so we can ensure your prescription gets to your preferred pharmacy.

Medication Reviews

You may be asked to see a doctor, advanced nurse practitioner or practice nurse to review your medications and a notification should appear on your prescription slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
