Admin Team

Heather Sharkey Practice Manager, BA (Hons)

Heather is responsible for strategic planning, business and day to day management of the practice. If you have any suggestions, queries or complaints, please contact her at the practice.

Kirsty Adleigh Deputy Practice Manager

Kirsty is responsible for the management of administrative duties and staff in the practice.

The practice has a dedicated administration team who deal with referrals, organisation, patient queries and various tasks. Any recall or other invitation letters you receive will usually have been searched for and implemented by our admin team. Our administrators play an important role in dealing with various tasks which don’t require clinical expertise, in order to allow our clinical team to better focus on treating patients.

Patient Coordinators

Our team of patient coordinators provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They are the first people you speak to when you call or when you arrive at the practice. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions, dealing with prescription enquiries and updating patient records.

The practice has an employed pharmacist, working a few hours most days.

A full dispensing service is available in the Health Centre pharmacy. The opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 13:00 and 13:30 – 18:00.

Community Nurses

A district nurse service is offered by the practice to carry out skilled nursing care for patients in their own homes and to teach and support those persons who are giving continuous basic care to the patient.

The district nurses can be contacted Monday – Friday between 08:00 – 08:30 and 13:30 – 16:00 by telephoning 553984.

Health Visitors

The health visiting service aims to promote individual, family and public health. They are involved with patients of all ages with a wide range of problems. For further information or help please ask for a copy of their leaflet or telephone 553985.
