Dr Chris Provan MBChB, FRCGP
Partner (8 sessions). One of the trainers for ST3/ST1 GP registrars. Interests within the practice include minor surgery for moles and sebaceous cysts etc. Injects joints (elbow, shoulder, knee and trigger finger). Clinical interest in COPD. Married with two boys. Also (sadly) he is an Aberdeen Football Club season ticket holder.
Dr Elizabeth Phull MBBS, FRCGP, DRCOG, DCH, DFSRH
Partner (6 sessions) since January 2010. Currently works in the practice Tuesday – Friday and has been at Elmbank since 1998. Areas of interest include kidney disease and women’s health. Provides contraceptive services including implant and coil fitting, and is approved as a GP trainer.

Partner (8 sessions- working all weekdays except Thursday) since June 2010. Interested in Diabetes, cardiovascular disease and general medicine. Does Minor Surgery Clinic and joint injections. Married with 2 daughters. Interested in Woodland and Lakeside walks.
Dr Mishaim Bhana MBChB, BSc (Hons), MRCGP
Partner (8 sessions) since 2014 after completing training at Elmbank. Graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2007 after intercalating to complete a BSc (Hons) in Genetics. Background in Acute Medicine with a special interest in minor surgery and joint injections. Clinical areas of interest include High Risk Drug Monitoring, Diabetes and Respiratory Medicine. Designated GP for our attached nursing home, Angusfield House. Hobbies include reading, gym, hill walking and gardening.
Dr Shona Bennett MBChB (Hons), FRCP, MRCGP, DGM, DFSRH, DRCOG, FRCGP
Partner (5 sessions) since 2015, having been a Retainer GP and completing training within the practice. Clinical interests include care of the elderly, mental health and sexual health/contraception. Married with 2 children and hobbies include sewing, highland dancing and singing.

The nurses work with the doctors, undertaking investigations and treatments. Some of the nurses are trained to offer an assessment service and minor illness treatment. They also run screening clinics. Please feel free to seek their advice.

Kirsty is responsible for the management of administrative duties and staff in the practice.
The practice has a dedicated administration team who deal with referrals, organisation, patient queries and various tasks. Any recall or other invitation letters you receive will usually have been searched for and implemented by our admin team. Our administrators play an important role in dealing with various tasks which don’t require clinical expertise, in order to allow our clinical team to better focus on treating patients.
We are thrilled to share an exciting update with you that reflects our reception team’s commitment to our patients, and learning how to navigate them across the broad range of services the practice, and attached team provide. Effective immediately, our reception team and receptionists name will be: Care Navigation and Patient Services/Care Navigators.
This decision to change our team name is a testament to the growth and training of our team. We believe that our new team name better captures what our team can do for you.
Care Navigator Role and Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors and help them find where they need to go.
Answer phone calls and help answer questions patient have.
Navigate patients to the relevant service where possible, e.g. Dentist, Pharmacy, Optician, Health Visitor, Midwife and Hospital, doctor or nurse.
Help patients make, cancel or reschedule appointments.
Register new patients to the practice.
Ordering prescriptions, updating patient details and processing sick notes.
Help patients to request medical reports, their medical records and take payment for private services (e.g. DVLA medicals)
Pharmacists
The practice has an employed pharmacist, working a few hours most days.
A full dispensing service is available in the Health Centre pharmacy. The opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 13:00 and 13:30 – 18:00.
Community Nurses
A district nurse service is offered by the practice to carry out skilled nursing care for patients in their own homes and to teach and support those persons who are giving continuous basic care to the patient.

Health Visitors
