About Us

From our humble beginnings in 1896, when Dr John Innes began a surgery inside a chemist shop, today Elmbank is a 7 partner practice operating out of the Foresterhill Health Centre. Having maintained a system of clinical excellence, our proud tradition as a training practice also continues.

The practice gained its name when the founding Dr Innes’ son, John Alexander, moved the practice to Elmbank Terrace; more than 90 years later, we are still emblazoned with that Elmbank tree on our logo.

At any one time Elmbank is not just home to 7 partners and respective trainee registrars, but also a variety of other GPs, nurse practitioners, experienced practice nurses, dedicated auxiliary teams and a host of attached personnel such as health visitors, district nurses, midwives and counsellors.

Elmbank Group Practice is located within the Foresterhill Health Centre which also homes Westburn Medical Practice, Health Visitors, AA Screening, Dietician, Podiatrist and District Nursing Teams. Our building is fully accessible for all disabled patients.

Complaints

We make every effort to give the best service possible to everyone who attends our practice.

However, we are aware that things can go wrong resulting in a patient feeling that they have a genuine cause for complaint. If this is so, we would wish for the matter to be settled as quickly, and as amicably, as possible.
