New Appointment Options OPEN TO NEW PATIENTS Stop Smoking Care Navigators Strep A – What to look out for NEW NUMBER WHEN WE CALL YOU
Lifestyle Management and Well Person Advice – this includes blood pressure management and advice on your smoking, alcohol and dietary habits.
Chest Clinic – patients with asthma and/or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) will be invited to attend the practice for a review of their inhalers/chest condition.
Cardiovascular Clinic – patients who have high blood pressure or who have had angina, a heart attack, stroke or heart disease will be invited to attend this clinic for a check-up.
Diabetes – care of patients with diabetes will be provided within the practice or in partnership with the hospital diabetic clinic.
Well Woman Screening – this includes cervical screening, teaching self-examination of breasts, blood pressure and general advice.
Minor Surgery – Dr Provan, Dr Guru and Dr Bhana carry out surgical procedures for the removal of minor skin lesions such as skin tags and sebaceous cysts. If you wish a lesion removed, you should first of all make a routine appointment with one of these doctors.
Childhood Immunisation – the immunisation programme is run by the health visiting team. Invitations will be sent to a child when routine immunisations are due.
Antenatal and Postnatal Care – antenatal care is provided by the midwife and the postnatal check is carried out by the doctor.
Family Planning Service – the doctors offer a full range of services and counselling including fitting and removal of coils and implants. If you wish to undergo one of these procedures, you should first of all make a routine appointment.
Elderly – the District Nursing Team manage the care of housebound patients. If you have any concerns about an elderly relative, please contact the District Nurses.
